Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Welcome to Random Color Lab ("we", "our", or "us"), accessible via https://randomcolorgenerator.app. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights concerning your personal data in accordance with modern privacy frameworks including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Information We Collect

Random Color Lab is designed as a client-side generative web tool. All color generation, palette computation, and color space translations occur locally inside your browser. We do not require account registration or login.

  • Local Storage: We use browser localStorage solely to save your recent color history, favorite shades, and saved palettes locally on your device. This data never leaves your computer and can be purged by clearing your cache or clicking "Clear".
  • Log Files & Technical Diagnostics: Like most web applications, our servers automatically record standard internet log information (such as browser type, operating system, timestamp, and referring URL).
  • Analytics: We use privacy-conscious analytics services (Microsoft Clarity and Pageview) to understand overall site traffic patterns, UI usability, and performance. Microsoft Clarity records session metrics and heatmaps to improve user experience without capturing confidential keystrokes or personally identifiable payment records.

2. Google AdSense & Advertising Partners

We may partner with third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting www.aboutads.info.

3. Cookies and Web Beacons

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to retain user preferences and compile aggregated data about website interaction. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or notify you when a cookie is sent. However, basic core tools on our site will function normally without cookies.

4. CCPA & GDPR Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request rectification or erasure, and object to processing. Since we do not maintain accounts or user profiles, we do not sell or monetize personal data.

5. Contact Information
